Unless you are graduate of local college or University which study recognized y by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents, otherwise you had to go thru the following process :
- Pass SPM or similar qualification and Bahasa Malaysia must obtain credit.
- Join and practise full time in a registered estate agency firm for at least six months then only qualify for a candidate to seat for examination conducted by the Board. There are 2 parts for a candidate to pass thru. First part is consists of 10 papers which covered real estate practice, law related to property, building technology, and etc.
- After passed the Part I, a candidate need to practise in a registered estate agency for one year, then seat for Part II, there is an oral test (interview), after pass thru, then you can apply to be a registered estate agent and operate a firm.
