MIEA, a non-profit organization representing the interest of Estate Agents regularly organizes a “TWO DAYS NEGOTIATORS’ REAL ESTATE TRAINING PROGRAMME.

DEVELOPED BY PRACTITIONERS
This two days intensive course has been developed through the years to provide each Negotiator with the necessary knowledge and skill to effectively represent Estate Agents in their day to day practice.

TAUGHT BY PROFESSIONALS
The course lecturers are successful practitioners who have walked the streets and are qualified to share their experiences and expertise. This comprehensive programme will cover:-

  • Techniques in securing listings
  • The selling processes – prospecting, overcoming objection & closing
  • How to market the properties
  • Land matters
  • The Act, Rules & Standards
  • Standards of practice and other modules

(There is an assessment test before certification and it is organized by MIEA as the only programme that will lead to certification as CREN Members.)

MIEA Johor Convention

For the first time in MIEA history, Madam President Julie Wong has decided to hold a real estate convention outside Kuala Lumpur, for the benefit of members from various states as stated in one of her agenda as President 2009/2011.

MIEA Johor Convention 2009 shall be held in Johor Bahru with the followings:-

  • Theme: Iskandar Malaysia – The Rise of A New Metropolis
  • Date: 31st October & 1st November, 2009 (Saturday and Sunday)

The objectives of this convention are as follows:

How to be a Registered Estate Agent in Malaysia?

Unless you are graduate of local college or University which study recognized y by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents, otherwise you had to go thru the following process :

  1. Pass SPM or similar qualification and Bahasa Malaysia must obtain credit.
  2. Join and practise full time in a registered estate agency firm for at least six months then only qualify for a candidate to seat for examination conducted by the Board. There are 2 parts for a candidate to pass thru. First part is consists of 10 papers which covered real estate practice, law related to property, building technology, and etc.
  3. After passed the Part I, a candidate need to practise in a registered estate agency for one year, then seat for Part II, there is an oral test (interview), after pass thru, then you can apply to be a registered estate agent and operate a firm.
